Blowing through the jasmine in my mind...*

ootd

Top: Velvet by Graham and Spencer
Cardigan: Sundance Catalog
Skirt: gifted
Navy blue tights
Boots: La Canadienne

The skirt is pretty cool (has a little slit on each side). I'm digging the top as well; I have two (the other is cream-colored), from when there was a sale.

If I might kvetch for a moment, I wish Velvet would resume making exceptional knits. The stuff they've produced lately seems uninspired, and, well, thin. Perhaps this one's in a similar vein:

...and yet, the older one I'm wearing has a sailor-collar thing in back, and more fabric overall? (The peach color looks pretty though.)

* My daughter is slowly turning me on to modern music, but there are a few "golden oldies" my kids like.

Are you going to come quietly, or do I have to use earplugs?

ootd

Top: J.Crew Tissue turtleneck in...? Buff Pink?
Necklace: made by me
Cardigan: Sundance Catalog
Skirt: gifted
Shoes: Arche
Jacket: old (distressed leather)

This isn't the Heirloom Pink turtleneck, rather the ballet-slipper pink one that came and went in a hurry (Heirloom Pink looked drab on me, but I tend to jump on this kind of light pink top).

A grainy-licious close-up of the necklace, from this post:

handmade pearl and garnet necklace

I had something monumentally funny to post here; now I'm drawing a blank. Spike Milligan?

"I thought I'd begin by reading a poem by Shakespeare, but then I thought, why should I? He never reads any of mine."

"Money couldn't buy friends, but you get a better class of enemy."

"How long was I in the army? Five foot eleven."

ETA: Writing with a dull pencil is pointless.

ootd

Butterfly top: ASOS
Cardigan: Sundance Catalog
Skirt: Stewart + Brown
Dark grey tights
Boots: Cydwoq

Haven't done much ASOS-crawling, but I do adore this shirt, with details so often absent in our domestic shirt offerings: multi-colored print, covered buttons, a kinda weird back tie that somehow works, and the poetically named "pussybow"—we don't call it "pussybow"? I suppose we'd call it a tie-neck blouse, or something equally dreary.

Side note: this is Don Ho's kid? How'd she end up so cute?
