I've decided this is a keeper. Not that anyone actually likes wearing a strapless bra, beyond the obvious strapless aspect, but sometimes it's handy. I tried this one out, it stays up...the only complaint I have is they should make bigger cup sizes, on the logic of going down a band size and up a cup size. It's not a normal bra; no reason to carry only normal sizes.
Caved and got the J.Crew Jackie Shell, when my shade "Pearl" went on sale (pictured, albeit not particularly accurately).
Where the Jackie cardigan runs small--the "large" gapped at the bust on me, so I went for "extra large"--the Jackie shell runs big. The "large" in this is...large. I could probably wear a medium. I'd ordered the shell in both large and extra large, figuring it corresponded to the cardigan, but ended returning the XL and attempting to shrink the large in the dryer (which it did, pretty close to what I'd wanted).
J.Crew Tissue Pleated Top Yech! I may dress like a nun, but I'd like to think I'm a stylish nun. I got this in large; it was a tent, below the (too low-cut) v neckline. "Paris Pink" in real life is a couple of shades darker than its ethereal Web image. If you want this top, I would size down.Labels: jcrew, wardrobe
