Does it move?

Top: J.Crew Bettina cami in White Ash
Cardigan: J.Crew Jackie in Wild Mushroom
Skirt: J.Crew No. 2 pencil skirt in double-serge cotton, in Natural
Nude fishnets
Shoes: Cydwoq Category

This is the regular No. 2 pencil skirt, not the Long No. 2 pencil, acquired in a recent 'Crew price war. Hermmm...they've changed their sizing. The previous pencil skirt I'd bought from them is a size larger and fits about the same.

I like it, though it's not lined, and the sewing on the hem is kinda for crap. It's the sort where a stitch will pop, and suddenly half the hem is out. I sewed over it some myself on the edges. The back is nice, with the little pockets, and the fabric has a substantial feel and subtle, pleasant texture. It wrinkles some when you wear it, of course (natural fiber) but not unreasonably so.

The idea behind this rather light-colored ensemble is it actually got hot today—not to the point a Tom Wolfe-style get-up would be in order, but enough to bring out a sleeveless top and canvas-colored skirt.

Saw this at work the other day and got a laugh:
