This is from my son's portrait project for school, which he has titled "The Proletariat at Work." smirks Okay, I'm not actually working, but I do check my work email, and there is a Python book I'm on-and-off grinding through ("list"=array with benefits).
Here are the year-end photos I like to post:

I'm not looking for a countermand, dear. I'm looking for reverse.

Top: C & C California
Cardigan: Hugo Boss
Skirt: J.Crew Nico (from Feb. 2010)
Tights: Uniqlo Heattech
Boots: Cydwoq
Here I am speculating whether Heattech tights can transform a summery skirt into something winter-wonderful.
The short answer is, yeah. Mind you, today was not particularly arctic, but it was chilly. These tights run small-ish (I'm accustomed to ordering large in stuff like this), and they're 100% synthetic (other tights on the Uniqlo site contain a small percentage of wool and I'll wager they are substantially warmer). A nice factor is the "support"-ive quality—these fit rather tight, but firm-tight not uncomfortable-tight.
Of course, it is the end of the year (sorta) and time to showcase the best kids in the world. :)

I've decided to conclude each blogging year with, ah, some pics of my kids. A quick analysis shows this is likely the best path for me, as Dec. 31 2008 reveals sundry blabbering over developing a five- to ten-year work wardrobe (I've long since thought in terms of twenty years); Dec. 30 2009 features a review for Pacifica soap, a screenshot of the Diptyque b & m downtown courtesy of Google Street View, and a Bryan Ferry video.
Happy New Year!Labels: ootd, weekend wardrobe, year-end

When did they get so tall? It's been a marvellous year for me. Not financially, (rolls eyes) though I have plans for 2011. 2010 was rather a discovery of the extraordinary...which may be found, as usual, right under your nose.Labels: ootd, work wardrobe, year-end
