Happy Friday!

The Clash - "The Prisoner" (1978)

Not the greatest Clash song, exactly, yet an interesting relic--of pre-Internet times. You can feel the smallness in the was written in a small place, which is what people lived in, back then. What you knew was what you saw around you, and whatever you could find in books and music.

I think I will have to shelve the "wear socks on Friday" concept, at least until the weather warms sufficiently for, ah, socks. Tried these instead:

wolford marie tights
Wolford Marie tights

I lost my Wolford virginity when Bare Necessities marked these down and had a Friends & Family. They ended up costing less than my B.ella Codori Tights.

Hmmm...these are beautiful. You're thinking, eh, striped tights...but black and tan work well together, if you own enough black and brown items. I wore them with this:

j.crew nico black blossom skirt

NO, it is not a mini on me, and this, but not in black...I have a greyish-brown one:

jjill kimono sleeve cardigan

and my black Cydwoq boots.

At this point, because it's Friday, and there's black, grey and brown going on, the shirt becomes kind of irrelevant. Surely you have something that coordinates with these tones. Ta-da! you have composed a harmonious outfit, out of this that and the other.

I told ya, J.Crew, that I don't want one of anything in every color. (I know, it's a sales pitch, I'm just saying.) I want my own set of colors where a lot of stuff just goes together.
