Don't think I've taken a pic of the cardigan before, which is odd (it's not new). It's nice, actually, with more character than your average cardigan—slightly slubby knit linen, tonal embroidery, shell buttons. I don't shop at Sundance often, but some pieces I've gotten from them have lasted amazingly well (the Payton cardigan I live in, the Carnegie skirt I haul out every winter, yadda yadda...).

I don't wear this top often, because I like it, and have seen nothing like it since I acquired it (mid-2008). I mean there have been swathes of sleeveless tops with designs in the center, and I look at them...eh...this one is special. So I've nursed it along, swapping it around with other lace tops...I have a small series:

This outfit had commenced with a Jackie "Pearl" cardigan (worn here among several ootd pics), but it was too darn hot today to bother putting it back on for this!
Was pleased how Warm Taupe Bettina fared...I washed it out last night and hung it over the shower curtain bar so the frill dried upside-down (White Ash Bettina's frill had flopped, when dried the usual way).Labels: jcrew, ootd, tulle clothing, updo, work wardrobe
